Q. How do I change the font, size, & color on Craigslist?
A. Use the <font> HTML tag as following to change text font, text height, text color of description of craiglist posts:

Q. How long a title may be?
A. Up to 70 characters. If you use more characters then craigs list will simply discard the trailing extra characters. No warnings will be shown.
Q. How big the description of a craigslsit post may be?
A. Up to 30kB. That should enough for body of the ad in most of the cases.
Q. May I use javascript?
A. No, not at all. Javascript in body of the ads is not allowed on craigslist.org
Q. May I use CSS?
A. No, not at all. External CSS file is not supported. In fact, you can't put any kind of header attributes.
Q. May I use flash video?
A. Unfortunately not. But you can use animated GIF images. You have to use external image hosts to use animated GIF on craiglist. If you upload an animated GIF during ad posting only the first frame will be shown.
Q. I have published my ad. But can't see it in listing. Why?
A. It may take about 15 minutes to go the ad live on listing page of craig's list. So try after a while.
Q. I did not receive the email with publishing link from craigslist. What should I do now?
A. First check your bulk/spam folder. If it is not there then try this link
Q. I tried to post an ad with white text in black background. But I get block message. Why?
A. White color text is not allowed. If you use white color text those will be converted to black color. If you try to make text white using style like <p style="color: white;">, you will get blocked message.
Q. May I use Frame or iFrame?
A. No, Frame and iFrame are not allowed on craigslist.org .
Q. I don't have an webserver. Where can I host my images to be used in craigs list postings?
A. There are a lot of free image hosting sites like imageshack, photobucket etc. Here is a list of tested free image hosting sites for craigslist posting. Try these sites to upload your images for craiglist posting.
Q. How do I link an image to my website?
A. Upload your image on your web server or on a free image host. A list of free image hosts is available here
Then link the image to your website using following code:

Q. What is Ghosting?
A. If any ad is marked by craigslist's spam filter then it is simply dropped from the listing page of craigslist. But the poster is not notified. When the poster checks with the confirmation URL he will think that the ad is live but it is not actually available on the craigslsit site. This is popularly known as "ghosting".
